Different Minds. Endless Possibilities.

Play with Purpose. Grow with Confidence.

Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, explore, and thrive in a way that works for them.

The Platform

Play-based learning for every kind of mind

Monkotorix is an innovative, play-based developmental learning platform designed to help children build essential cognitive, motor, sensory, and everyday life skills through engaging, interactive games.

Created with neurodivergent children in mind — including children with autism, ADHD, dyspraxia, and other developmental differences — Monkotorix embraces the belief that there is no single way to learn, and no single path to progress.

  • Autism
  • ADHD
  • Dyspraxia (DCD)
  • Dyslexia
  • Other developmental differences
“There is no single way to learn, and no single path to progress.”

Our Mission

To make developmental learning accessible, engaging, and empowering for every child.

We aim to bridge the gap between therapeutic exercises, educational activities, and the games children genuinely love to play.

By bringing together principles from occupational therapy, developmental psychology, cognitive science, and game-based learning, Monkotorix transforms purposeful skill-building activities into playful, rewarding experiences.

  • Occupational therapy
  • Developmental psychology
  • Cognitive science
  • Game-based learning

Our goal is simple: help children develop meaningful skills while having fun.

What We Help Children Develop

Six interconnected areas of childhood development

Every Monkotorix game is designed around one or more of these areas — so play time quietly becomes practice time.

  1. Area 1

    Fine Motor Skills & Coordination

Activities designed to support hand-eye coordination, motor planning, bilateral coordination, visual-motor integration, and foundational skills for handwriting.

    In the betaNeuroCrew
  2. Area 2

    Attention & Executive Function

Games that encourage sustained attention, working memory, cognitive flexibility, planning, sequencing, and impulse control.

  3. Area 3

    Sensory Processing & Self‑Regulation

Thoughtfully designed experiences that help children explore sensory information, recognize emotions, and practice strategies for emotional regulation.

  4. Area 4

    Cognitive Development & Problem-Solving

The Games

Two games, now in open beta

Free to play in the browser on tablets, phones and computers. No sign-up, no ads, no tracking — just open a game and play together.

NeuroCrew

Beta

Coordination practice · Ages 4–8

Short, playful practice games made with dyspraxia (DCD) and autism in mind. A friendly buddy shows every move as children trace, pop, catch, copy and balance their way along a magic path through five worlds — with a breathing break always one tap away.

  • 21 games in six groups, from hand coordination to logic
  • Separate levels for ages 4–5 and 6–8
  • Calm mode, a slower speed and read-aloud instructions
  • A “Try it for real” idea after every level
  • In English and Dutch
Ages 4–8 English · Nederlands Phone, tablet & computer
NeuroCrew’s Magic path on a phone: Bear, the buddy, waves beside the first step, “Copy the moves”, with a winding trail of game stops through the Magic meadow.
Lezen met Olli on a phone: Olli the owl stands at the start of a winding path through Zonneweide, the first world, with the first three reading games — Letterbos, Ballonnen and Rijmen. In a speech bubble, Olli says hello and invites the child onto the magic path.

Lezen met Olli

Beta

Dutch reading game · Ages 5–8

A cheerful Dutch reading game for young children with dyslexia. Olli the owl walks children along a magic path through four worlds of short reading games — letters, sounds, rhymes and words — and reads the instructions aloud.

  • 11 reading games plus a movement break
  • Four worlds, three levels and twelve badges to earn
  • No timers or lives — a wrong answer just means try again
  • Bold reading text with wide letter spacing
  • Sound groups like “aa”, “oe” and “ui” always stay together
  • Olli speaks with your device’s Dutch voice — most phones, tablets and computers have one. Without one, the game still works, just without Olli’s voice.

Designed for Different Minds

Learning that adapts to the child

At Monkotorix, we recognize that every child has a unique combination of strengths, challenges, interests, and developmental needs. That’s why our vision is to create an adaptive learning environment where activities can evolve with each child’s abilities and progress.

“Rather than expecting children to fit a predefined learning model, we want learning to adapt to the child.”

  • Unhurried by design

Short rounds and no lives to lose. Breaks are built in, and NeuroCrew slows down when a child needs more time.

  • Hear every instruction

Instructions can be heard and replayed. Olli reads each one aloud, and in NeuroCrew a tap on “Hear it” does the same — or a grown-up can switch on read-aloud for every level.

  • Mistakes are part of play

No buzzers and nothing to lose. A wrong try brings a gentle hint and another go.

  • Small wins, celebrated

Stars, stickers and badges turn each step forward into something to be proud of.

  • Predictable and clear

The same clear steps every round, and a magic path that shows the whole plan before play begins.

  • Gentle on the senses

Motion calms down when a device asks for less, sound and voice can be switched off, and both games come in light and dark.

All of this is already part of both beta games.

More Than Games

Meaningful progress, together

We envision a platform that empowers parents, educators, and developmental professionals to better understand and support children’s learning journeys.

  • Parents & caregivers

    At home

Short, playful sessions that fit into everyday family life — and small wins to celebrate together.

  • Educators

    In classrooms

Playful activities that support early learning and readiness for every kind of learner in the group.

  • Developmental professionals

    Alongside professional support

Engaging practice between sessions that complements — never replaces — the work of therapists and specialists.
